Green Lentil Dahl Recipe

400g green lentils (soaked 10mins)

2 tins of coconut milk

1 onion - chopped

3 cloves of garlic - crushed

2 large tomatoes - chopped

1tsp chilli flakes

1tsp ground cumin

1tsp chilli powder (optional)

1tsp curry powder

1tsp smoked paprika

1tsp coconut oil

salt to taste


1. Fry onions and garlic in coconut oil for 5 minutes

2. Add all spices to the pan and fry off for a couple of minutes

4. Add chopped tomatoes and coconut milk, drain lentils and add to pot

5. Put on low heat, add a lid and simmer for an hour - keep checking and adding water if it begins to dry out. Once cooked through, take off the heat.

Serve on its own or with our delicious Flatbreads as a side.
