Green Lentil Dahl

​

Prep Time: 10 mins

Cooking Time: 1hr 20mins

Total Time: 1hr 30 mins

Difficulty: Level 1

Ingredients:

​

400g Green Lentils (soaked 10mins)

2 Tins of Coconut Milk

1 Onion - Chopped

3 Cloves of Garlic - Crushed

2 Large Tomatoes - Chopped

1tsp Chilli Flakes

1tsp Ground Cumin

1tsp Chilli Powder (optional)

1tsp Curry Powder

1tsp Smoked Paprika

1 tsp Coconut Oil

Salt to taste

Method:

​

1. Fry onions and garlic in coconut oil for 5mins

2. Add all spices to the pan and fry off for a couple of minutes

4. Add chopped tomatoes and coconut milk, drain lentils and add to pot

5. Put on a low heat, add a lid and simmer for an hour - keep checking and add water so it doesn't dry out and cooks throughout.

Serve on its own or with our delicious Flatbreads as a side
